The overall picture
Dashboard
For producers, directors and anyone keeping an eye on the whole show.
Keep Program, output status and the available scene, source and audio controls together. The Dashboard gives you a place to check what is happening before deciding where to act.
Put it on the producer’s tablet while other devices stay on more focused decks. It also makes a useful starting view when one person is handling a small production.
PaneLive Pro · Prepare and take the next shot
Composition deck
For vision mixers, directors and operators switching the production.
Bring Preview, Program, scenes and sources into the same workspace. Prepare the next composition, inspect its layers and use the transitions your production software offers.
Give this view its own device beside the main monitor. The person switching can concentrate on the next shot while another crew member watches recording and streaming. Its record and stream buttons start out locked, so nothing goes live by accident: press and hold the lock icon to unlock them.
Preview, media and transition controls follow your production software and its current mode.
PaneLive Pro · Keep the outputs in sight
Recording deck
For recording operators, stream operators and solo creators.
Keep Program, elapsed time and recording or streaming controls prominent. Audio controls stay close, so you can follow the output picture and sound from one screen.
Use it as the output operator’s dedicated station, or keep a spare phone beside your keyboard to check the production state at a glance.
Your regular actions, within reach
Hotkey deck
For operators who need quick access to configured production shortcuts.
Arrange your shortcuts around the show’s recurring tasks. A dedicated deck gives those actions a consistent place on a touch screen.
Keep it on a phone below the main monitor or hand it to the crew member responsible for those actions. The shortcuts on offer come from your connected production software.
PaneLive Pro · One screen for output controls
Recording solo view
For the crew member responsible for starting, pausing or stopping outputs.
Bring recording and streaming controls forward from the Recording deck. The focused layout makes the available output actions easy to locate during a busy production.
Give a spare device this single job while another screen carries the picture, scenes or audio. Turn on hold protection and confirmations when you want a more deliberate touch.
PaneLive Pro · Focus on the sound
Audio solo view
For sound operators and anyone watching the production’s audio.
Bring the available audio tracks, meters and controls into focus. Adjust levels and mute states without competing with scene and output panels for screen space.
Place it next to headphones or the audio desk, or give a separate phone to the person monitoring sound. You can also listen to monitor audio whenever your connection provides it.
“Solo view” is the name of this focused layout, separate from any audio Solo function in your production software.
PaneLive Pro · Choose the next scene
Scene solo view
For scene operators and small crews sharing switching duties.
Give the scene list more room. Browse the available scenes, prepare a Preview selection and use the available transition or countdown action. Press and hold a scene to see its screenshot.
Keep this view on its own screen when one crew member is choosing shots and another is managing outputs or sound. Where your software uses Preview, choosing a scene and taking it live are two separate steps.
PaneLive Pro · Watch the picture and its context
Fullscreen monitor
For directors, camera operators and crew checking the live picture.
Expand the video to fill the screen, with available controls, meters and Preview picture-in-picture close at hand. Optional composition guides help you inspect framing. Press and hold the Program or Preview picture to start a countdown.
Mount a tablet above or beside the production monitor, or put it where a crew member needs to see the picture without returning to the computer.
Live video comes from OBS Studio and vMix, depending on how the connection is set up.
PaneLive Pro · Let the picture take priority
Fullscreen with controls tucked away
For crew who mainly need a clear production monitor.
Collapse the expanded monitor controls when the picture deserves your attention. Keep a device focused on viewing, then reveal the controls when you need them.
It pairs well with a separate Recording or Hotkey deck: one screen carries the picture while another carries the actions.
PaneLive Pro · Run the shared prompting session
Teleprompter Controller
For the prompter operator supporting a presenter.
With PaneLive Pro, operate a shared prompting session while the presenter reads from a separate device. Session assignments in PaneLive Companion determine which device controls playback and which drives the shared scrolling.
Keep the controller beside the operator and the reading display near the presenter’s eyeline. This separates running the script from reading it.
PaneLive Pro · Keep the words where they are needed
Teleprompter Player
For presenters, readers and crew following an assigned script.
Read material assigned through PaneLive Companion. Use private playback for one reader, or join a shared session with a Master Player and following Monitors. Master Player and auxiliary player (Monitor) modes are included in free PaneLive.
You’ll need a teleprompter rig sized to fit the tablet acting as the Master Player for PaneLive Teleprompter. Adjust the text layout to suit the screen and reading position, while the prompting operator works from another device.
PaneLive Pro · Keep the script in your own hands
Thumb Remote
For presenters and solo creators controlling their own script.
Thumb Remote is a compact teleprompter controller for the person on camera. Hold a phone in your hand and control the flow of your script with your thumb, without looking down at the phone.
To open Thumb Remote, tap the remote button at the top of the Controller’s right-hand control panel. Move your thumb up to slow down or down to speed up. Swipe left or right and release to move back or forward one screen.
Keep your eyes on the reading display or camera and set your own pace during a take. You can record without a dedicated teleprompter operator.
Detailed cues for the camera position
Operator tally
For camera operators who need more context than a single tally light.
Keep production state, current scene, next-scene information and timing or output details visible beside the camera. The Operator layout brings those cues together on a dedicated screen.
Mount a phone facing the camera operator while a separate tally faces the talent. The capture shown here is bound to a scene; you can also bind Operator to Door or All.
A readable cue with scene context
Bar tally
For presenters and camera crew.
Use a prominent state bar with scene information and a background preview where available. It gives the person in front of it a clear cue, plus context about what the display follows.
Bar can also follow a single source when your production software reports which scenes contain it. The background shows the scene preview.
A focused cue near the lens
Dot tally
For presenters and talent who need a simple camera cue.
Keep a compact light in the presenter’s eyeline. Dot places a coloured cue on a black background, keeping light spill low when a phone sits close to the lens.
Adjust the dot’s size and position to suit the mounting point. These captures show Camera - Alex in Preview and Program, with the red Program cue in front.
A clear cue across the room
Flood tally
For studio doors, presenters and crew watching from a distance.
Turn the screen into a large colour cue with a readable label. Place a phone or tablet by the studio door or where the crew needs to see the production state at a glance.
With Door binding, the display follows recording and streaming status. These captures show Studio Free behind the red Recording display. Choose labels that suit your studio.
More ways to give a screen a focused job
In PaneLive Pro with vMix, Telestrator opens the configured drawing page so someone can annotate the picture. It uses the vMix web service and its connection settings.
Switching views keeps the device’s Viewer or Operator access as it is.
